Working with Rapleys and the rest of the design team, planning permission has now been secured for a mixed-use redevelopment of the former St George’s Primary School site, within the Park Street and Brandon Hill Conservation Area in the centre of Bristol.
The proposals will deliver 9no. new-build, one and two bedroom open-market residential apartments, together with 3no. contemporary office units (Use Class E) through the refurbishment of the existing former chapel building.
The form and massing of the new apartment building was carefully considered at design stage, seeking to continue and enhance the Queen’s Parade street-scene and complement the surrounding listed building assets within this prominent location, at the foot of Brandon Hill in the centre of Bristol.
The planning application was approved under delegated powers.
