PERRY STREET, SOUTH CHARD - PLANNING PERMISSION GRANTED

Outline planning permission initially refused by Planning Committee, but then overturned at appeal for the development of up to 95 dwellings with associated works on land south of Perry Street in South Chard, Tatworth, with Crossman Group.

The proposed new dwellings include bungalows and self-build plots, and will also provide a minimum of 35% affordable homes for the area.

The plans feature large and inclusive areas of public open space, including a large play area and a community orchard for the benefit new and existing residents of South Chard alike.

Aside from access, matters of layout, scale, landscaping and appearance are reserved for future detailed applications.
